ABOUT KRISTIAN BALGOBIN
Born in Bridgetown, Barbados, and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Kristian Balgobin is a community-oriented non-profit strategist, multidisciplinary artist, and advocate for social justice.As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Caribbean Preservation Alliance, a 501c3 non-profit organization, Kristian’s daily work is amplifying and uplifting cultural practices and ensuring continuity in this generational wealth to the diaspora and global community. Kristian has served as Executive Director of the Alumni Association for the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate and contributed as a faculty researcher on the Global Disease Epidemiology and Control team at the International Vaccine Access Center, housed within the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
