ABOUT KRISTI ALLEN

Finance and accounting professional with over 25 years of experience leading high‑impact initiatives across corporate and nonprofit organizations. I bring a unique blend of Fortune 500 expertise and mission‑driven leadership, with a strong track record in financial operations, technical accounting (ASC 606, 842, 805), and M&A integration.As VP of Finance & Administration at NextUp, Inc, I oversee budgeting, Accounting, Finance, HR, and IT services, and have led significant improvements in compliance, technology, and governance. My leadership approach is grounded in servant leadership, continuous learning, and building collaborative, high‑performing teams. I’ve strengthened financial operations, and driven measurable improvements in transparency, and efficiencies. During my time at Microsoft, I supported two of the company’s largest acquisitions and had the opportunity to serve as Deal Controller, including presenting abroad in Oxford, London. At McKesson I gained experience in a large, shared services environment scaling large teams both domestically and internationally. I hold an MBA and a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Texas A&M University–Commerce and am a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. I’ve strengthened my executive skills through the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), Dale Carnegie, and Korn Ferry programs. I’m also an active member of NABA, AICPA, and the Texas Society of CPAs. I\'m committed to servant leadership, continuous learning, and building collaborative, inclusive, high‑performing teams across domestic and international environmentsMost recently, I’ve had the opportunity to moderate leadership discussions at NextUp\'s Executive Forum, Summit Leadership and Director’s Leadership conferences-experiences that reflect the next chapter of my work: sharing the insights I’ve gained to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders. Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue a Doctorate in Business Administration, with a focus on accounting and organizational leadership, further supporting my commitment to lifelong learning and leadership excellence.
