Kristen is a leader, director, educator, change-maker and social entrepreneur who works at the intersection of arts and activism. A dual Canadian/American citizen, Kristen is based in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, where she regularly enjoys the many outdoor and cultural wonders. Kristen\'s WAM work: Conceive, develop, and implement artistic vision; hire creative teams and deliver programming. Donated in box office proceeds to 22 local and global organizations taking action for women and girls in areas such as girls education, leadership training, teen pregnancy prevention, sexual trafficking awareness and midwife training. Oversee administrative operations; key partner in solicitation and major gifts cultivation, oversee marketing outreach and community engagement, manage a budget with multiple revenue streams, lead a team of employees and independent contractors. Led steady, rapid growth of the organization, from an initial budget of to a budget in twelve years. Guide the company into the next phase of its organizational development through the implementation of a three-year rolling strategic plan. Serve as the public face of the company; engage regularly with key stakeholders including Board of Directors, donors, artists and staff. Develop relationships with community partners, collaborating on events that feature artists alongside community members and highlight issues affecting our community. Actively explore the intersection gender and racial justice. Engage in ongoing work inside and outside of the organization that aims to further understand and acknowledge systems of oppression and discrimination, our part in reinforcing those systems and our opportunities to help dismantle them.
