Drove the plan’s more than $200 million financial turnaround over three years and increased membership by more than members. Kristen Cerf is president and chief executive officer of Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan, Blue Shield of California’s Medicaid managed care plan serving Medi-Cal members in Los Angeles and San Diego counties. She is driven to bring Blue Shield’s mission to Medi-Cal, driving equity and improving access to person-centered care to California’s underserved populations.She championed the plan’s $146 million commitment to develop Community Resource Centers across Los Angeles County in partnership with L.A. Care Health Plan. Her leadership also ensured Blue Shield Promise played a critical role during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing vaccinations and more than $11.3 million in direct support to local community organizations and providers.
