About Kristen Baily
My passion is people and I pride myself on my relationship management and leadership skills in addition to my ability to develop people. I’m fulfilled by seeing an employee base who are satisfied in their roles and building teams with high potential talent who value continuous improvement, honesty, loyalty, and respect for others. My experience has honed these skills as I spent six years in the recruiting world, playing matchmaker across a variety of teams, industries, and seniorities that made me adaptable and strengthened my ability to read people quickly. This base skillset has served me as I grew into an empathetic and flexible leader, able to adapt to a rapidly scaling firm whose benefits, teams, and goals are a moving target. DIRECTOR OF HC As a Director of Human Capital at MiddleGround, I direct all internal Human Capital initiatives including- Hiring, recruitment, and onboarding across all seniorities and international offices - Compensation/benefits management and implementation - Implementing leadership competency and professional development offerings (as part of a framework)- Team restructuring or other structural/operational areas for improvement - Championing DE & I initiatives - Sourcing and implementing 3rd party providers - And my personal favorite managing the performance, career satisfaction, and retention of our 100+ international employees I currently manage five global team members and am particularly proud of my accomplishments during 2022, where we recruited and onboarded ~50 new employees (doubling the company headcount) and managed 29 of promotions. By managing this process internally and leveraging our referral network, we saved $1.8M in recruiting costs. We were able to maintain DE & I metrics that outpace industry averages and kept employee satisfaction above 95% across the board.
