About Kristen Scudder

I am an Austin Native who has called the 78745 home since the late 20th century. I strive to minimize the sometimes excitingly overwhelming chapter of buying and selling a home through patience, education and real world, boots on the ground real estate experience. In 2024, the average Austin area Realtor did 3.1 transactions while I helped twenty-four different families, friends and clients accomplish their real estate goals. The proof is in the positive reviews and the numbers. I am a residential Broker Associate with Horizon Realty with over 10 years experience as a licensed realtor. I provide exceptional service to my clients by listening to their needs and helping people navigate life changes. Change (good or bad) drives the need for my services. It is not enough to do a good job for a client. That\'s kind of like saying you should do a good job as a parent, a good job is baseline. I treat people the way I want to be treated and to provide a level of expertise and service that is unmatched. Therefore, my philosophy is to serve my clients so well that your home buying or selling experience is enhanced because of my performance. A little about me, I grew up in the good ol’ 78745 of Austin, Texas. After traveling throughout the United States pursuing my undergraduate and graduate degrees in archaeology I moved back to Austin in 2009 because I just couldn\'t stay away. I love Austin! When I am not helping clients, I enjoy preparing for my level three sommelier certification as well as being outdoors, reading books, walking my dogs, Styx and Zoso spending time with my three cats, Dr. Loois, Pixie and Wednesday, 10 chickens and thousands of honey bees, and cooking foods that reflect mine and my husband Chris\' many around the world travels!
