Drive the strategic direction, management, and implementation of modern and robust information security policies, frameworks, and controls across all court units within the Sixth Circuit, comprised of all federal courts in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan (24 units). Work closely with senior executive leadership across the judiciary to align security initiatives with organizational goals and priorities, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems across my circuit. Drive circuit-wide information security strategies, policies, and compliance initiatives while ensuring alignment with national standards, industry best practices, and evolving cyber threats Provide guidance and hands-on consultation for complex security projects, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies Build, lead, and implement circuit-wide security program based on the CIS controls and NIST CSF & RMF Lead annual IT security assessments for all court units, with continuous monitoring to track progress and maintain progressive compliance metrics (both internal and external) year-over-year, ensuring that security measures evolve in response to emerging risks and threats Initiate and manage high-priority information security projects, conduct in-depth research to stay ahead of industry trends, and oversee the integration of security technologies and protocols Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive information security awareness and training programs, ensuring all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect organizational assets Represent the circuit in national forums, working groups, and conferences to influence and contribute to the development of national security programs and technologies Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans to strengthen information security infrastructure, including the establishment of security standards, controls, and tailored training programs for all circuit court units
