ABOUT KRISTEN PLATE

At J.P. Morgan Private Bank, I advise a diverse clientele—including affluent multigenerational families, entrepreneurs, public and private company executives, financial professionals, and nonprofit organizations—on holistic financial strategies. My areas of expertise span banking, investing, strategic lending, and complex trust and estate planning. Collaborating closely with my team, I deliver customized solutions that align with each client’s distinct goals and priorities. With a deep-rooted passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, I combine an academic foundation—earned through an Entrepreneurship minor, where I studied under accomplished business owners and venture capitalists—with practical, hands-on experience in the startup ecosystem. I have previously worked closely with early-stage founders as they built and scaled their businesses, giving me a nuanced understanding of the entrepreneurial journey. I leverage this perspective to advise seed to late-stage founders on strategic pre-transaction planning and liquidity management, delivering personalized and tax-efficient solutions. I take pride in serving as my clients’ trusted advisor and connector, leveraging the full breadth of J.P. Morgan’s capabilities across business lines and fostering valuable relationships between clients and like-minded individuals or key centers of influence. As someone from a multiracial background, I am deeply committed to advancing diversity and inclusion. I am actively involved in the firm’s Asian and Pacific Islander Leadership Forum and Wealth Strategy initiatives, where I work to elevate AAPI voices internally and help AAPI families navigate their financial lives with confidence. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating cum laude from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, with majors in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I also hold the SIE, Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
