About Kristen King-Concialdi

I have over 15 years of research experience generating impactful real-world evidence, with a particular interest in amplifying the voice of the patient and improving equitable access to care. I have expertise in team leadership, research design and oversight (both qualitative and quantitative), and mentorship of junior staff. I excel in simplifying complex concepts into easy-to-understand language which I use to create patient facing materials and to support my research teams in better understanding our goals and requirements for deliverables. I am also currently working towards a Masters in Population Health (MPH) at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. I decided to apply to my MPH program to learn how I can be used as a tool to combat health inequities, misinformation, and to become a more informed researcher. My concentration is called Leadership in Practice which includes coursework to prepare students to lead cross-organizational partnerships, collect evidence, perform landscape analysis, engage in difficult conversations, frame health information, reduce health disparities and collaborate to make change. I’m very enthusiastic for every opportunity that allows me to combine my years of research leadership and newly acquired public health skills.
