Project PASS Coordinator21st CCLC grant-Provide the framework and placement for approximately 400 teacher candidates each semester to work one-on-one with a Youngstown City School third-graders in hopes of increasing the passage on the third-grade reading guarantee for YCS students-Focus on teacher candidates\' interventions in literacy that provide individualized support in reading fluency, comprehension and writing for high needs, urban students-Monitor all teacher candidates during field work and oversee all field placement within the 7 YCSD elementary schools-Facilitate monthly professional development sessions for Project PASS teacher candidates that focus on literacy based best practices-Collect and aggregate data on YSU students, YCS students, and program success -Work with external evaluator, OERC to gage growth and success-Collborate with YSU literacy instructors, YCS classroom teachers and build administrators
