About Kristal Jones

I am an agricultural and natural resources social scientist with over ten years of experience using applied research skills to support individual and community priorities and decision-making. I am interested in the broad connections between social, economic and ecological systems, and the impacts of changes in those systems in specific places where livelihoods are based, directly or indirectly on agriculture and natural resources. I use many types of methods, including statistical analysis, interviews and focus groups, and spatial analysis. I combine these and other types of methods depending on the programmatic priorities and research questions that are relevant and important in a given project and for a given place. I have extensive experience with distributed project management, publishing white, gray and peer-reviewed literature, as well as public speaking, grant writing and budget management.
