About Krista Stenberg
Currently I work at Emory University Hospital, as an Infection Preventionist overseeing 216 beds, ancillary such as dialysis/all of peri-op. Vital to my role includes strong collaborative efforts to improve quality of patient care, drive performance improvement, and excellent communication within my team/my units. Some areas I have a strong passion for research and infectious disease prevention, which I pursued through my Master\'s degree in Global Epidemiology and a certificate in Infectious Disease from Emory University.During my graduate studies, I gained valuable skills and experience in data analysis, project management, and communication, as I worked as a research assistant for several prestigious research groups on topics such as TB, monkey pox, and INFIN-TB. I also have proficiency in R, SAS, and SQL, which I used to create data reports, resolve data entry queries, and conduct quality checks. My long-term goal is to work as an infection preventionist at a hospital, where I can apply my knowledge and skills to real-world public health issues. After graduating with my masters degree, I worked as a Research Coordinator at Children\'s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), I am part of the RADx team that works to validate new COVID-19 testing kits across all CHOA campuses and ambulatory sites.
