As a first-generation Latino growing up in North Carolina, I witnessed firsthand the barriers that communities like mine face—particularly around access to resources and opportunities. Watching my parents navigate the challenges of running a small business, I became passionate about financial inclusion and making sure that underserved communities have a fair shot at success.Today, I’m working to put that passion into action as a political appointee in the Biden-Harris Administration as a Special Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. My focus is on promoting racial equity in finance, where I’m responsible for directing billions in capital to communities that have historically been left behind. It’s a role that’s about more than just policy—it’s about building bridges, fostering partnerships, and ensuring that voices from all backgrounds are heard. I’m proud to have led initiatives that have expanded Treasury’s reach by 40% and increased community engagement by 30%.My career has been defined by a commitment to making an impact, whether it’s raising millions for causes I believe in or collaborating with industry leaders to bring diverse voices to the table. I’ve seen the power of thoughtful policy and strategic partnerships, and I’m driven by the idea that we can create real change when we work together to uplift those who need it most.As I continue to grow professionally, I’m focused on bringing this commitment to the private sector, where I aim to make financial services more inclusive and accessible.
