As Assistant Dean for the Office of Academic Community, Empowerment, and Success (OACES), I provide strategic leadership and oversight for MIT’s academic enrichment and student success initiatives serving historically underrepresented undergraduates.I lead Interphase EDGE/x and Momentum, overseeing program vision, curriculum development, budgeting, assessment, and cross-campus collaboration. In addition to managing a student advising caseload, I guide academic planning, career exploration, and graduate pathways while advancing equity-centered support systems.My role includes faculty partnership, stakeholder engagement, recruitment strategy, communications planning, fundraising collaboration, and continuous program benchmarking to strengthen impact and student outcomes.

ABOUT KRISSANDRA ROBINSON
I am an Assistant Dean in MIT’s Office of Academic Community, Empowerment, and Success (OACES), where I lead high-impact academic success and transition programs that support first-generation, low-income, underrepresented, transfer, and historically underserved students.I oversee Interphase—one of MIT’s longest-running and most transformative scholar programs—guiding its strategic direction, academic framework, and student development initiatives. I also lead Momentum, an experiential, team-based program preparing students for futures in science and engineering through real-world problem solving and industry engagement.With a background in Community Development and Africana Studies and a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Trauma, I bring a trauma-informed, equity-centered lens to leadership and program design.
