Trade, Law and Development (TL & D) is a biannual, student-run, academic journal published by National Law University, Jodhpur, India. TL & D provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and constructive debate on legal and policy issues surrounding world trade, cross-border investment, environment, and development, broadly defined. In keeping with our institutional belief that knowledge is empowerment, TL & D is committed to exploring interdisciplinary perspectives on the international legal order and to promoting free thinking in the majority world. TL & D is a signatory to the Budapest Open Access Initiative, and is indexed on HeinOnline and the PKP-Open Archives Harvester2 archive. TL & D has been ranked as the best law journal in India for seven consecutive years (20••••17) and the tenth best law journal in the field of international trade worldwide (2012) by the Washington and Lee University Law Library in its annual rankings of law journals. Since its establishment in 2009, the Journal\'s efforts have been recognized by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and the World Trade Organization.
