About Krishna Pattisapu
In the past 16 years, I have worked as a Communication Studies instructor, administrator in higher education and nonprofit organizations, researcher, author, and consultant for organizations that are leading transformational change. I am a servant leader that has committed my career to transforming the culture of higher education institutions, increasing access and support for students from underserved communities, and supporting the humans that lead this work. My original research explores the intersections of racial, sexual orientation, and gender identity and how academic and public learning environments can be transformed to ensure that all people feel included, validated, and empowered. My experience growing up as a queer, biracial, first-generation college student in rural Southern Illinois inspires my Equity and Inclusion work. I hold a Ph.D. in Culture and Communication from the University of Denver and a B.S. and M.S. in Communication Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
