Major Areas of Responsibility Duties are typically non-routine and involve software selection, data management, creation, conversion, problem resolution, and generation of maps. Interfacing with existing and potential clients and related marketing efforts and activities. Organize and manage tabular and graphical data, metadata and produce maps for analysis and cartographic maps for illustrations, reports, and presentations. Performs analysis on existing or created data using standard methods, or as directed. Maintains proficiency with industry standards, GIS programs and processes, including cartography, computing, data management, editing, creation, database design, quality control, and conversion methods. Additional Areas of Responsibility Marketing of GIS services to external clients, either individually or in support of other B&N marketing efforts. Responsible for assisting appropriate B&N staff with software license management and maintenance. Assistance with other technical projects and proposals requiring mapping.
