Acts as the representative for the Member within his or her area of responsibility including answeringconstituent calls on key issues, meeting with constituents, verbal communications with constituents, andserving as a liaison with federal, district, and local agencies;• Informs the Outreach team and the District Director of all happenings in assigned issue areas byscreening district media sources and interacting with constituents and other local officials andstakeholders;• As needed, acts as a liaison to local, state and federal officials and other persons or groups to formeffective relationships for the Member;• Supports the planning and execution of district events on behalf of the Member and engagesCommunications team, as needed, to ensure appropriate media participation, including planningmultiple events at one time;• Drives Member to and from events;• Takes photos and shares recaps of Member-attended events with internal team;• Monitors and recommends district meetings for the Outreach team and Member with constituents;• Prepares periodic reports for the Outreach team and District Director on district activities in assignedissue areas;• Meets attendance requirements as established by the office;• Maintains a good working relationship with the Member, staff, and constituents;• Accepts performance-based criticism and directions;• Works well under pressure and handles stress;• Works a flexible schedule including long hours, nights and weekends; and• Performs other duties as assigned (e.g. WA10 District constituent engagement events)
