In this sector leadership role, I am responsible for shaping and growing Mitie Plan Zero’s portfolio across the Industrial, Manufacturing and Defence landscape, supporting major clients with decarbonisation, regulatory compliance, engineering solutions and long‑term investment planning.Key responsibilities:• Lead sector strategy and market development across Industry, Manufacturing & Defence.• Work with senior client stakeholders to identify decarbonisation and risk‑reduction priorities.• Develop comprehensive Net Zero Pathways and Capital Development Plans aligned to operational realities.• Drive ESOS Phase 4 engagement, compliance roadmapping and energy‑savings opportunity identification.• Oversee opportunity qualification, bid strategy, and conversion for major consulting and delivery programmes.• Coordinate cross‑disciplinary engineering, data, energy and sustainability teams to deliver client outcomes.• Provide thought-leadership on energy resilience, industrial process efficiency and estate decarbonisation.Impact areas:• Supporting energy‑intensive estates to reduce emissions, operational costs, and compliance risk• Delivering structured investment cases for multi‑year transformation• Strengthening Mitie’s position as the UK leader in decarbonisation and energy optimisation
