ABOUT KRIS HALL

I am the Chief Executive Officer of Maverick Goalkeeper Academy, Executive Director of Vacaville United Soccer Club, and Goalkeeper Coach for the Sacramento Republic Academy.I bring over 20 years of experience coaching and leading at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels, including NCAA Division I & II programs, elite academies, and professional clubs. Prior to joining Sacramento Republic in 2024, I served as Head Coach of FC Davis, compiling a 32-13-7 record and leading the club to a first-place finish in the Golden Gate Conference (NPSL) during my first season. From 2019–2021, I was an Assistant Coach with Oakland Roots SC.Throughout my career, I have held senior leadership roles including Executive Director, Director of Coaching, Technical Director, Director of Player Performance, and Head Coach. I am widely recognized for a modern, evidence-based approach to player development, goalkeeping education, and tactical periodization.I hold UEFA B and USSF B Licenses, the English FA Master Goalkeeper License, and numerous USSF and United Soccer Coaches certifications. My professional development has included international study and collaboration with leading clubs such as FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Ajax, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and many others across Europe.Over the past decade, I have worked closely with elite international coaches including Frans Hoek, as well as renowned American coaches Steve Sampson and Anson Dorrance. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with advanced studies in education and have coached goalkeepers who progress to collegiate, professional, and European academy environments.
