Roles & Responsibilities- •Lead a team of 20+ Engineers and Handling OTIS-USA, Europe, Japan & Singapore OTIS regions for the conceptualization, design and development of Elevator products and its Sub systems & Modules for Sheet Metal.• Strategized Global Platforming on Heavy & light duty systems across regions within Otis.• Define Engineering specification from Marketing Specs, project plan & budget• Design & development of Structural Components of Elevator System & Subsystem.• Develop sheet metal design concepts with DFMEA (Part/Sub system/Module), create prototype model & Drawing, conduct FEA analysis, Test the component with OTIS Test tower real time function, Ensure the code compliance & quality requirements as per OTIS Worldwide standards.• Collaborate with leaders/counterparts/ Downstream Teams to develop and execute programs/projects with Synergy.• Preparing Technical documentations for Gate Reviews & seek Stake holder approval for signoff with respect to each gate process up to production.• Involve the Gate review process to propose Sch B ideas & costing with respect to regions.• Preparing FMEA & DVPs for Component Level, subsystem & system Level.• Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling responsibilities for engineers.• Responsible for new resource hiring, Technical Induction Training.• Assigns technical resources to work assignments (workforce allocation).Technical Responsibilities-•Leads engineering teams which are responsible for several products or sector areas and ensuresDelivery of a portfolio of projects on time, in full Provides direction to the teams with a focus on safety, on time delivery, quality and margin improvement.• Managing of all Design activities including but not limited to, Design freeze / release, Design FailureMode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Verification/Product Validation (DV & PV) tests and Computer-aided engineering (CAE).
