Responsible for building out a new Security Operations team at Convera to ensure that post transition Convera is operating at a higher security standard than what was previously set. Convera, backed by Goldfinch Partners and The Baupost Group, was formed to acquire the assets and companies that today comprise Western Union Business Solutions, a division of The Western Union Company. Following this acquisition, Convera will become one of the largest non-bank B2B cross-border payments companies in the world. Acted as the Security Lead for the organizations migration into AWS to become a cloud native organization. Helped identify security solutions, staffing, businesses and operational best practices that needed to be modernized in order to best our new cloud architecture.
