ABOUT KOUROSH TAHER
I just want everyone to be honest with each other. This section is supposed to be ‘About’ me right? So if I’m completely honest, I didn’t set out to be the Co-Founder of a digital marketing agency. In my early days l didn’t really think about how powerful honesty was. I’ve always just blurted out my feelings, without really thinking about it first. Sometimes it could get me into trouble or start a few arguments but mostly it just helped me to avoid the stress of “keeping up appearances”. From the moment I started working at 16 years old, I figured out that being in a business environment at that time, you were 1 of 2 types of people:1. You don’t give a shit about staying at that business, so you did what you want.2. You want to learn the job and get better at it, either for yourself or to get a promotion. I just didn’t like doing stuff I didn’t agree with. I’m not always right, I get that. It’s just moral stuff mostly. If a client is spending money on something at least be honest with them about it all the time. We expect total honesty when we buy a physical product, so why can’t we expect it when buying a service?I began to see what other places were like. Some were better than others but one thing that was constant, the clients were always spun some kind of “story”. To make everything seem like it was “going well”, whether it was going well or not. Then everyone would run around in the background trying to fix things before it got so bad the client wouldn’t be able to miss it. I’ve always felt uneasy about doing this. It’s just not a normal thing to do for me. If something’s happening I’d rather get it out in the open as soon as possible, solve it and then just learn from it and move on. Someone’s business is in my hands and I’m spending their money (on my services at the very least), so what gives me the right to not be honest with them all the time? When honesty is introduced and both parties have that limitless line of communication, that’s when problems get solved quickly and efficiently. After doing this for a long period of time now, it’s amazing how well honesty works. You don’t just solve problems quickly, you stop them same problems from happening again. As life grows and businesses scale, it’s just good knowing that in the past you’ve been able to stop a problem from becoming a constant issue. The moral of this ‘About’ section (if you’re still with me) is, if you engage with me I will be open with you at all times because I haven’t got time to waste (and neither have you).
