KDE is a Free Software community dedicated to creating a user-friendly computing experiencethrough a wide variety of applications Strong involvement in the community stewardship: member of the KDE e.V. and pushing forwardtoward a “community of communities” Involvement in the emergence of some of KDE’s governance tools: helped put in place the Code ofConduct, participated in the redaction and curator of The KDE Manifesto, bootstrapped the KDEIncubator allowing outside projects to integrate the wider community Focus on APIs and reusability: main architect for KDE Frameworks, managed the transition fromthe kdelibs monolithic model to a modular KDE Frameworks, designed the currently used releasemanagement and governance of the KDE Frameworks products Long term developer: creator and maintainer of Zanshin a task management application, formerarchitect and maintainer of the Solid library for hardware discovery, former developer on thePlasma Workspaces, on the Dolphin File Manager, and on the KDE PIM suite, also contributed tovarious components across the whole KDE product portfolio Akademy Award 2012 for “working on the future of the community”
