About Konstantinos Michalopoulos

Technical Lead at Masimo with focus in machine learning and biomedical signal processing for medical devices. Led the development of multiple FDA-cleared algorithms, including a De Novo-cleared ML/AI algorithm, and led the development and release of sleep monitoring algorithms for wearable and consumer devices.My work focuses on pattern recognition and machine learning applied to physiological signals, with particular experience in end-to-end product development within FDA-regulated environments.Previously at Convergent Engineering, I led software efforts for an FDA-cleared electronic pill wearable device, including embedded system architecture, wireless protocols, and production tooling. Also developed and patented a machine learning system for early detection of preeclampsia using ECG and PPG signals.Postdoctoral research at University of Rochester. Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, with research focused on biomedical signal processing and machine learning.
