Global Commodity Lead for Rear Differential Modules (RDMs) and Transfer Cases. Develop, train and enforce quality requirements for launching new programs across GM and our supply base. Oversee corrective actions and read-across activities for safety related quality issues. Gather and disseminate Lessons Learned. Mentor new commodity SQEs. Track global Quality metrics related to RDMs. Work cross functionally both within GM and within our Supply Base to successfully launch multiple programs, and overcome quality and capacity issues of legacy programs. Was assigned GM’s 3rd worst supplier globally. Reduced customer complaints by 85% within a year, recertified supplier as sourceable, and they are on track for Supplier Quality Excellence Award. Assure supplier understanding and compliance with GM requirements, APQP processes and product PPAP submission and approval requirements. Review and approve supplier quality plans for new component parts and assemblies for new vehicle and powertrain programs. Determine root cause of supplier manufacturing problems and implement timely, effective, and efficient quality resolutions. Provide technical assistance during supplier launch, change-over and ongoing production activities.
