ABOUT KORY BARRI

Senior Engineer turned Program Manager accomplished in scaling Generative AI, Automation, and Data technologies across a top Life Sciences company as well as bringing Internet to unconnected rural communities around the world. Through Viasat\'s Global Community Internet program, I personally oversaw the implementation of installation procedures for global operations rollouts, product development for Wi-Fi transaction platforms, asset management and cost reductions, sourcing partnerships and logistics, account management, bilingual technical training in Latin America, installation optimization and risk management, and the implementation of cloud controller technologies to gather and report on business insights for various products.I\'ve traveled frequently to Latin America for product and partner kickoffs, led remote deployments in Africa, driven essential global sourcing efforts, and designed and led technology demos. My mission is to continue the path of utilizing technology to create social progress and pave the way towards a brighter future.Key Accomplishments:• By designing and implementing operational procedures for a community-wide shared Wi-Fi product, I helped connect 1515 isolated schools, hospitals, and town halls in Mexico, improving access to connectivity and delivering $2.7 million in annual revenue.• By spearheading the partnership and successful program launch with a $1Bn per year (revenue) non-profit to provide Internet to rural schools and communities, I opened up potential for Viasat to connect additional locations globally.• By fostering relationships and technical integrations with global access point manufacturers, I reduced equipment costs by over 50% and enabled access to previously unreachable markets and international partnerships.• By implementing cloud-connected tools for monitoring and reporting site uptimes, connectivity usage, and sales analytics, I provided enhanced risk management KPI’s and business insights for optimized global deployments to senior leadership. In my spare time I\'m a musician, fiction and poetry author, avid beach volleyball player, and skier.Project Management | Global Partnerships | Product Development | Account Management | Technical Training | Global Sourcing | Operations Management | Spanish Proficiency | New Country Entry | Government Clearance | Social Impact | Corporate Social Responsibility CSR | Product Lead | Senior NPI Engineer | Sales Engineer
