At EY in the Technology space my core job can be broken down into 5 key roles: 1. Pipeline and sales, which includes work on proposals and going to new clients explaining and introducing the concept of automation. Project delivery: Managing teams, optimisation and selecting Automatable Processes, Budgeting and scheduling to ensure the competency is gaining the necessary hours and meeting the target margin. CoE setup: Going into new clients, evaluating their governance structures, policies and procedures, and integrating and building up their CoE with the correct governance and Automation SDLC procedures. Setting up the robotics infrastructure. And training up the client to be a fully functional self-sustaining CoE. Training new team members 5. Exploring new technology and building teams and developments to trial out new technologies eg. OCR, ML etc.

ABOUT KORUSHA PILLAY
I have a strong background in engineering and problem solving as shown by my education in two multidisciplinary engineering fields and through my work experience. I believe that in order to maintain a competitive advantage in any business one must take a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to problem solving. I completed my degree in Electronic Engineering at UKZN in 2012 being the only student across the schools of Electrical, Electronic and Computer engineering to graduate Cum Laude. I completed my masters in engineering Civil – majoring in project, environmental and management with distinction. I am started working at Sasol. During my time there I completed the 3 year graduate program in 1.5 years. After the program I was placed as a C&I engineer in the project division of the company. In my time in this position I have been placed as lead on many projects. I am currently working at EY where I manage end to end robotics solutions for various clients. In terms of personality, I am goal driven and I love working with others. Growing and learning from them. I am a people’s person and I am not afraid when interacting with strangers. My ability to interact with new people has allowed me to develop a positive network of colleagues and customers. I am a team player and am able to lead when required as well as to listen and follow for the good of the team. I communicate well, with great detail and knowledge. I am also not afraid to ask and learn when I’m uncertain about a task at hand. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks, cooking, watching TV and playing games.
