Koppett combines our diverse areas of experience and expertise in applied improv and organizational development to help you expand your performance range individually and collectively. We believe much more is learnable than people suppose; however, most performance change is not based on knowledge, but on practice: Improv is the gym for exercising the muscles to build presence, influence, distress tolerance, creative problem-solving, and connection.As the founder and CEO of Koppett, Kat helps people expand their performance awareness and range through the use of theatre, improvisation, and storytelling techniques. The author of \"Training to Imagine: Improvisational Theatre Techniques to Leaders and Educators to Enhance Creativity, Teamwork, and Learning\", published by Routledge. Kat holds a B.F.A. in Drama from New York University and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.🧢Her clients include Meta, PWC, NASA, JPMorganChase, Apple, GE, Havas Health, Kaiser-Permanente, SUNY and the U.N.🥾In 2019, Kat was awarded NASAGA’s Ifill-Raynolds Lifetime Achievement Award for her work further experiential learning. She has given two TEDx talks on the use of improv to enhance non-theatrical performance. She is the current vice-president and a founding member of the Applied Improvisation Network and the host of the livestream podcast, Performance Shift with John Register. ‍TheaterWeek Magazine named Kat one of the year\'s \"Unsung Heroes\" for her creation of the improvisational theater format, Spontaneous Broadway, which is now performed regularly around the world. She has been seen in television ads for Pillsbury, Quaker Oats, and Dr Pepper (she was a Pepper!). She is the Co-Director of and a performer with the Schenectady, NY based Mopco Improv Theatre.Specialties: Applied Improvisation, Facilitation, Storytelling, Presentation, Leadership and Executive Presence and Power Literacy skill building
