ABOUT BENJAMIN KOPP

Benjamin is a scientist specializing in genetic toxicology. He earned his PhD in Toxicology from the University of Toulouse in 2018, following a Master’s degree from the University of Lorraine in 2015.During his doctoral research, Benjamin focused on assessing the safety of mixed contaminants present in food, which the French population is exposed to. This work earned him the prestigious 2020 Dufrenoy Medal from the French Academy of Agriculture, as well as the 2019 Thesis Award from the French Society of Toxicology.Benjamin further expanded his expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and drug safety evaluation while working at Charles River Montréal. There, he also explored innovative approaches to drug toxicology, utilizing high-content screening stations, live-cell imaging, and cell-based assays to assess potential risks.Currently, Benjamin works as a toxicologist at Gnosis by Lesaffre. Benjamin is particularly passionate about understanding the molecular mechanisms of cancer, particularly DNA damage caused by chemicals.
