Fundamentals of Life (FoL) is one of the four Futures of our College of Medical Veterinary and life Sciences: aim: to drive world-leading fundamental research as an internationally recognised discovery bioscience centre.Some of my priorities and objectives as a Theme Lead:• Define the vision and ambition of the theme \'Fundamentals of Life\', shape the College strategy on development of this theme within the context of the University strategy Changing Futures• Proactively identify and develop opportunities for internal and external investment in e.g, thematically aligned infrastructure and / or staffing, shaping associated business cases and monitoring and steering return on investment.• Identify and promote opportunities for inter-theme collaboration and with relevant other activities across the University.
