As BIM + VDC Manager, I lead the digital construction strategy across VanMar’s residential and institutional projects by integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes into daily operations—on and off-site. My role focuses on improving coordination, constructability, and productivity throughout the lifecycle of each project.Key Responsibilities:Lead implementation of BIM/VDC workflows during preconstruction and active construction phases to enhance collaboration between design consultants, site teams, and subcontractors.Develop and enforce company BIM standards, training protocols, and execution plans tailored to specific project scopes.Provide on-site VDC support, including real-time issue tracking, construction sequencing, and digital quality control during field execution.Integrate 3D laser scans, point clouds, and as-built models for accurate documentation and streamlined handover.Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, superintendents, and consultants to improve delivery timelines and reduce coordination issues.
