About Komgrit Sungkhaphong
At Fabrinet West, I manage a small, capable team—but I stay hands-on because every day, something new lands at my door. Customers drop by with urgent questions, alignment issues, or strange failures, and I’m the one they call to sort it out. My work focuses heavily on active alignment systems for optical modules. I’ve built setups involving dual-lens alignment (collimator + focus) on PI hexapods, paired with automated UV curing. On the bonding side, I regularly use the Finetech Femto2 for 22 µm bump / 40 µm pitch TCB, laser array eutectic bonding, and 1 µm microlens array placement. I also write custom C++ and C# software to control alignment routines, stage motion, and vision systems. You can find much of that on my GitHub: github.com/komcat Before this, I worked at Western Digital, 3M, and Fabrinet Thailand—doing everything from automation design to full-line process development. Whether it’s a bonding issue, vision calibration, or mystery failure analysis, I like being the person people trust to get to the root of the problem.
