As a Research Assistant at the Indian National Association of Legal Professionals (INALP), I am responsible for conducting in-depth legal and policy research on contemporary issues, with a particular focus on ESG, corporate sustainability, and carbon markets. My work involves analyzing evolving legal frameworks, reviewing international best practices, and studying the intersection of law, policy, and market mechanisms that shape sustainability governance in India and globally. I also examine how these developments impact corporations, investors, and regulators, contributing to research outputs that inform INALP’s policy engagement and advocacy.In addition to thematic research, I assist in drafting comprehensive reports, briefing notes, and policy recommendations that are shared with stakeholders, including legal professionals, policymakers, and academic partners. I engage with comparative legal studies to assess the applicability of international standards in the Indian context, ensuring that the research remains both globally relevant and locally grounded. I also contribute to knowledge dissemination by preparing case summaries, editing publications, and curating content for INALP’s newsletters and resource repository.My role further extends to collaboration and engagement. I participate in discussions with practitioners and experts, providing research support for panels and workshops on sustainability and corporate governance. I help in maintaining INALP’s research database, supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives, and ensuring that our outputs remain accessible to the legal community. By combining rigorous research with strategic communication, I aim to strengthen INALP’s contribution to advancing legal scholarship and practice in emerging areas such as ESG compliance, climate governance, and sustainable business regulation.
