About Kole Pederson

My upbringing on my family\'s crop farm instilled a strong work ethic in me, leading me to begin full-time agricultural work at the age of twelve. My initial career aspiration was to become a seasonal aerial applicator while managing the farm during off-seasons. Demonstrating a commitment to agricultural expertise, I enrolled in college at age 16, pursuing a multi-disciplinary approach with majors in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Ag Systems Management, and Aviation. This educational foundation allowed me to achieve my initial career goal. During this period, I further expanded my skillset by becoming an instrument flight instructor (CFII) and securing a teaching position for upper-division precision agriculture courses at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Unfortunately, my fifth year as an aerial applicator was marked by a full engine failure and subsequent impact. While fortunate to survive, the physical and brain injuries sustained initially indicated a permanent career change. Prioritizing my health and safety, I pursued a new path in agricultural and aviation law. Law school provided the opportunity for continued rehabilitation, with remarkable progress in my recovery. Upon graduation, I joined the esteemed public policy team at the Nebraska Farm Bureau, and successfully passed the Uniform Bar Exam. Recent medical evaluations reveal my capabilities have improved significantly, allowing for a potential return to flight operations. My commitment to serving those in agriculture remains steadfast through my legal work specializing in agricultural estate planning, while I also explore re-igniting my aviation career.

Drawing on my deep agricultural background, I work closely with clients to safeguard their assets, ensure seamless transitions, and navigate the unique challenges facing the agricultural community. My goal is to support clients in protecting their legacy and building/sustaining their business for future generations.
