   Selected by the management team for this position based on law enforcement, military, and private security experience. I am the Regional security manager over EPA’s largest Mega Lab with over 1.3M square feet of Lab space. In this role, I oversee five complex security contracts (one contract is for $28M), including security and access control, managing 70 contractors. My responsibilities include controlling budgets for security operations and monitoring expenses.Facility Security Management TransformationConducted a gap analysis of this security level IV facility and identified systemic issues with a lack of security and coordination. Developed and executed a comprehensive EPA-RTP Facility Security remediation plan consisting of issuing new Standard Operating Procedures and applying breakthrough technology.Dramatically improved security for the facility by upgrading the Visitor Management System (VMS) to increase accountability and documentation. Instituted a new visitor sign-in form that required verification of visitors departing the facility if they had not checked out at the building lobby. Revamped the security incident reporting categories to increase record keeping and allow for developing and utilizing detailed security metrics. Overhauled the Foreign national visitor vetting process for foreign national visits that is being adopted throughout the agency.Large Program Management SuccessAssisting in completion of sensitive compartment facility security plans and managed security in two additional secured access facilities.
