   Assessed and adjusted departmental vendors for charge capture within the acute space, patient estimations, and CMS reference data to create a more functional chargemaster.Revised the denials process by decentralizing the work from dedicated analysts and switching to a revenue cycle leader driven work group. This involved adjusting Cerner reporting to meet the data needs of the departmental leads to begin initial investigations, followed by a bi-weekly work huddle to root cause where the denial solution would best live in the revenue cycle.Created charge volume report for denied accounts to crosswalk line item detail to the denials data allowing for a greatly increased turn around time on assessment, review and corrections.Implemented chargemaster specific payer updates to our access and HIM departments to help increase clean claim rate.Utilized Cerner reporting and CCL to help dig deeper into to cost center variances for potential missed charges or charging issues.
