ABOUT KOHEI YOSHINO

As the founder of Know Yourself Coaching & Consulting, I help leaders dismantle the ‘mask of perfection’ and navigate the psychological complexities of the modern corporate landscape. My methodology is anchored in my Doctoral research in Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology, specializing in the intersection of strategic vulnerability, psychological safety, and organizational impact. Growing up across four countries—Canada, Japan, Brazil, and Mexico—I was regularly exposed to diverse cultures and competing perspectives. This upbringing instilled a core belief: high-impact leadership is not about having all the answers; it is about the courage to ask the right questions. I have seen firsthand that everyone possesses the ability to achieve their vision when provided the psychological space to lead with radical honesty. My coaching is an evidence-based intervention. I integrate Project Management rigor (Agile/Waterfall) and Change Management strategy with advanced coaching modalities (ICF, Ontological, and Trauma-Informed). This interdisciplinary lens allows me to help clients- Identify and resolve the \"Strategic Paralysis\" that stalls decision-making- Foster relational intelligence and dismantle internal performance barriers- Navigate high-stakes transitions with a calm, compassionate, yet challenging presence. As a musician and singer-songwriter, I bring a unique creative dimension to my practice. I believe creativity is a vital leadership resource for generating the energy required to execute a vision. I help my clients tap into these creative reserves to build a legacy of impact and purpose. I am often described as a clear, assertive communicator with a \"calmly compassionate\" presence.
