ABOUT KOEN RADEMAKER
Bioinformatician in Bayraktar lab (Wellcome Sanger Institute), combining experience in spatial and single cell data and statistical analysis with a fascination for the brain and its development.I combine a solid programming (Python, R, Unix, Bash) and biostatistical background with a dedicated and analytical work attitude and clear communication. My main research interests lie in cellular genetics, neurobiology, machine learning, and statistical / Bayesian learning for (multi-)omics data.I completed a MSc in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology at VU Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam, with internships in the Van Steensel lab (Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam: working on a computational pipeline for NGS data of genomic rearrangement experiments) and Stegle (German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg)/ Bayraktar (Wellcome Sanger Institute) labs.
