About Koen Kyer

I’m a senior at George Washington University, studying international business and accounting. My interest in business started at a small STEM high school in New Hampshire, where I worked on capstone projects helping local companies track key supplier KPIs. Those early experiences introduced me to consulting and sparked my curiosity about how businesses optimize operations and make strategic decisions. At GWU, I’ve deepened that interest through leadership roles in MZZ Ventures, the Undergraduate Consulting Group, and Alpha Kappa Psi. Competing in international business case competitions has challenged me to think critically, collaborate under pressure, and develop structured solutions to complex problems. Just as important, mentorship has been a defining part of my journey—I’ve helped peers refine their case prep skills, navigate career decisions, and grow into leadership roles of their own. Beyond campus, I’ve applied these skills in professional settings as an accounting intern at PwC and a consulting intern at Mercer. These experiences reinforced my ability to blend financial expertise with strategic thinking, shaping my approach to problem-solving. As I continue to grow, I remain committed to mentorship and using my experiences to empower those around me.
