1. Permitting Associate

   EDF power solutions North America

   Oct 2022 — Present

   Key member of the small permitting team that obtained Atlantic Shores South’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)(May 2024), Record of Decision (July 2024), and Construction and Operations Plan (COP) approval (September 2024). Federal permit approvals enable two large offshore wind projects with up to 2.7 GW of generating capacity- Engaged directly with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and consulting parties to facilitate Section 106 Consultation and obtained a signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with consulting parties (July 2024)- Provided key support in obtaining all relevant New Jersey (NJ) state permits from the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) that enables the construction of a 13-mile underground transmission line and a new substation. Work included representing Atlantic Shores in direct engagement with regulators over the course of the entire permitting process. Obtained all required NJDEP permits in August 2024- Worked directly with agencies to successfully obtain Federal permits including OCS Air Permit (EPA), Letter of Authorization (NOAA-NMFS), ESA Consultation (USFWS), Section 10/404 and 408 Permits (USACE)- Managed permitting inputs from internal civil works engineers, substation engineers, land and real estate developers, legal professionals, external affairs and community organizers as well as relevant consultants and contractors- Managed multiple environmental and engineering consultants developing permitting deliverables. Included review and quality checks of engineering plans and environmental reports- Attended industry conferences and workshops to continue expanding Atlantic Shores’ regulatory and environmental research focus including NYSERDA State of the Science, ACP, and IPF- Presented at EDF Renewables’ offshore North America summit (May 2024) on how EDF’s development strategy has adapted to fit offshore wind development needs.
