About Kevin Oconnor

Kevin O’Connor is an experienced Project and Construction professional with 39 years of involvement in all phases of process facility design and construction, including planning, engineering, design, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, quality control, procurement, contract management, commissioning, fabrication, installation, construction, commissioning, start up, and close out. Experienced with EPC, EPCM, GC approach to project execution. Mr. O’Connor possesses a balance of formal project management skills with strong hands on construction trade experience. He began his career in construction as a Steamfitter apprentice in Newark, New Jersey back in 1986. Mr. O’Connor also served as a Sergeant in the United States Army where he was a Cavalry Scout with the 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard completing his service in 2009. Prior to joining Ameresco in 2022, Mr. O’Connor spent many years as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Director, working in the Renewable Energy and Industrial Process sectors. At Ameresco, Mr. O\'Connor works with other industry professionals to develop RNG projects. He has direct involvement in land acquisition and leases, easements and ROW, utility agreements, interconnect agreements, purchase agreements, and contract negotiation. He reports directly to the SVP of Ameresco\'s LFG Ops group, and works closely with the EVP and other members of Ameresco\'s Sr. Leadership team. In his previous role as Director of Construction and Implementation for Braven Environmental, Mr. O’Connor was responsible to direct and lead the Braven Project and Construction Management team throughout the development (FEL) and execution of the projects, while emphasizing safety, and maintaining schedule, scope, and budget.Demonstrated leadership and management ability in Engineering Project Management, Construction Project Management, Construction Management and Coordination, Program Management, Business Development, Contract Management, Procurement, Scheduling, Budgeting, Estimating, Project Controls, Expediting, Administration, Personnel Management.Experienced in piping systems, process systems and technology, gas compression and metering, gas conditioning, pipelines, Bio-Gas, RNG, LFG, Bio-Diesel, Biofuels, Renewable Energy, fuel production, equipment design and fabrication, pipe fabrication, steel fabrication.
