ABOUT KOBI THOMSON
Having spent much of my life between the Rocky Mountains and alongside the Pacific Ocean, I have lived alongside some of the most pristine natural areas on the planet. This experience has instilled a sense of responsibility to protect the environment we live in. While my primary interest lies with renewables, I recognize the role that conventional energies currently play and aim to minimize impacts to preserve our natural, financial and social capital for current and future generations.I’m an analytically minded individual who has managed programs saving over 40 million litres of water and 1.7 million kWh annually, worked alongside governmental and business partners on community solar thermal programs, built IT infrastructure and technical databases, instructed classes of low income seniors and coordinated events with thousands of participants. This varied experience spans the private, public and non-profit sectors.Proficiencies include business sustainability, carbon modeling, renewable and conventional energies, project coordination, energy efficiency, information technology and strategic planning.I\'m always searching western Canada for new sustainability opportunities, and problems to solve. Please feel free to send me an email or LinkedIn message if any of my skills could be of use.
