ABOUT KOBE DEENER-AGUS
I am an aspiring architect and third-year undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with minors in Psychological and Brain Sciences and Art. My career interests lie at the nexus of architecture and psychology, where I explore how spaces influence the human experience and condition. I am particularly passionate about healthcare, higher education, and public housing architecture, with a commitment to sustainable design practices that enhance community well-being. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained valuable experience, including an internship with The Goldman Group, where I assisted in the design development of luxury penthouse suites for an adaptive reuse high-rise project. My proficiency in software such as Rhino3D, Grasshopper, Revit, and the Adobe Creative Suite enables me to effectively translate innovative ideas into practical designs. In addition to my architectural pursuits, I have contributed to campus life as an Interfaith Fellow, promoting understanding and collaboration among diverse religious communities. I also serve on the executive board of the WashU Pottery Club, where I share my passion for ceramics, a creative outlet that complements my architectural studies. In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks with my dog and exploring the art of ceramics. Looking ahead, I am eager to design transformative spaces, with aspirations to create college campuses or medical/hospital facilities that prioritize user experience and community engagement.
