ABOUT KNUT ERIK HOLTE

Born in 1974, married with two children and living in Jacksonville.I started my maritime on a longliner in Norway as a fisherman at the age of 19, and has since then earned various maritime experience both offshore and ashore.From offshore my experience has been from sailing the coast of Norway, Europe and World Wide, i have worked on various size ships from small bulkers to the worlds largest RO-RO vessel.I have great experience not only from navigating, but also maintenance of vessels and its steel construction, ballast tanks and the maritime systems onboard.Loading and Discharging of its cargo as well as crane operations.I have been responsible for planning and conducting exercises acc to company standards and train personell as life boat commanders and Fast Rescue Boat commanders.Plan and create structure and predictability in the daily operation on deck onboard.From ashore i have planned, executed and completed cargo operations and at the same time been focused on solutions and improvements in areas with room for improvement of such operations. I have been involved in H&H operations and solutions for customers within the RoRo segment for H&H cargo.I have been an instructor educating course participants, participate in project work and develop new course material.My colleagues sees me as a cooperative and reliable person who might not be the most social guy around but always is in a good mood.I see myself as a hard working person who is focused and willing to go the extra mile to find solutions and satisfy the customer.
