About Tyler Knox

My intellectual property practice focuses on high-technology patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office. My approach to litigation is shaped by a diverse set of experience, from military service to tenure as a patent examiner.Before joining Erise, I spent more than six years as a Primary Patent Examiner at the USPTO. There, I enjoyed the opportunity to take on many roles, among them: reviewing junior examiner office actions, training new and experienced examiners, and reviewing technology center office actions for quality assurance compliance. Through this work, I am able to help others navigate complex patent issues in sophisticated technology areas.After graduating from West Point, I commanded units of engineer paratroopers at home and abroad as a U.S. Army officer for six years. This inspired my approach to litigation management; I handle matters with focus, strategy and discipline.
