Easygoing and friendly, I believe in leading with empathy and creating meaningful connections wherever I go. Additionally, as a Medical-Surgical Unit Manager, I oversaw the management and human resources of my staff members and the health and well-being of military personnel and their families. With over 21 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Air Force, I have developed strong skills in medical-surgical, critical care nursing, orthopedics, family practice, and pediatrics. I will obtain my Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Services at the University of Arizona this fall, where I have learned about the latest trends and best practices in human services and I also have my Associate\'s degree in Allied Health Sciences that have taught me the most top notch ways of managing healthcare. I have always loved providing care and education to my patients and my staff alike.My passion is to build people up & be their personal cheerleader! I want to continue serving and helping the military and veteran community while also being more flexible and spending more time with my family. It\'ll only be a matter of time before they\'re all grown up! It is also my goal is to continue to advance my career in mentoring, coaching, counseling, HR, social work, and all things human services related.
