About Karthik Mitta

People, systems and a good laugh… these make me tick. I am passionate about solving complex problems through technology, change management and people leadership. Lately, I am working on figuring out how to solve data enablement and data protection challenges at Google, as we integrate various forms of ML and AI solutions to make billions of lives better. These include solving problems in areas of data acquisition and filtering, data lineage, model lineage, AI alignment, AI privacy risks and governance. Keeping users safe at scale is an extremely important and challenging mission. These are interesting and fascinating times. Previously, I have built large scale solutions to drive competitive pricing across Amazon worldwide, led the Alexa privacy team to integrate privacy moments into the product development life cycle, and drove customer analytics at Microsoft to increase adoption & customer engagement with enterprise solutions. Alongside technology and engineering, I hold deep expertise in setting a vision, driving business strategy, managing change, building high-performing teams, and transforming cultures. Outside of work, I am passionate about education. I strongly believe in the power of education to enhance lives and transform communities. I also dabble in the fitness industry, strength training in particular.
