About Katelyn Minichiello
CPA in good standing and an auditor currently pursuing a career with Grant Thornton LLP. I currently possess a limited SEC designation with Grant Thornton and hope to continue my focus on public company audits. I have experience with SEC clients, including the manufacturing and deep sea freight transportation industries, large accelerated filers, controls experience, complex revenue recognition, and ASC 606 and ASC 842 implementation. In addition to being passionate in my career, I love to help others and invest my time in other people and charities, including volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. I currently serve as co-chair of Grant Thornton’s Social Engagement and Community Impact Committee.In addition, I serve on Grant Thornton’s Local Advisory Council and previously served on the National Audit Council. I hope to continue to serve members of the Grant Thornton community.I obtained a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and graduated summa cum laude and a Commonwealth Honors College scholar with greatest distinction. I completed a undergraduate honors thesis on the effectiveness of charter schools throughout Massachusetts.In addition to an internship with Grant Thornton during the summer of 2016, I held internships with Hero Helpers of America and Ernie Boch Jr\'s Music Drives Us Foundation. With these two organizations, I planned an event to benefit soldiers with post traumatic stress disorder, and gained experience with event planning and the not for profit industry. I also interned with a public relations firm, Triplicity Event Group, and primarily worked in social media promotion and management.
