About Kayla Harrity

I began my career in higher education as a Graduate Assistant in the Student Life Office. Initially, I viewed the role as a fun way to complete my master’s degree. And while it was a fun way to complete my master\'s degree, more importantly, it opened my eyes to the wide range of careers within higher education and confirmed that this was the right professional path for me.Since then, I’ve held roles that span both student-focused and operations-focused responsibilities. While I value the opportunity to work with students, I discovered that my true passion lies in operations. I’m energized by budget management, finance, data analysis, and process improvement. It\'s like being able to solve puzzles for a living. And who doesn\'t love puzzles? Today, I am a resourceful, motivated, and collaborative higher education professional. I currently serve as the Director of Operations for our Workforce Development and Continuing Education branch, where I help strengthen systems and processes that support student success. Outside of this role, I also enjoy teaching as an adjunct instructor, which allows me to stay connected to students and the classroom experience.
